POTRAZ is presided over by an eleven member non-executive Board of Directors appointed by the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe. The Board in consultation with the Minister appoints a Director General, who is responsible for the day to day operations of the Authority.
Professor Sam Takavarasha

Professor Takavarasha brings a wealth of experience and expertise in ICT research, academic leadership and digital innovation. He is currently the Director of Research and Innovation at Women’s University in Africa, with a distinguished career spanning senior academic and consultancy roles, pioneering e-learning initiatives, and contributions to national ICT policy and development projects. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems and has led national research projects, providing thought leadership in ICT for Development, cybersecurity and digital inclusion.
Ms Barbara Mukahanana
Vice Board Chair
Ms. Mukahanana is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in diplomacy, ICT leadership and public administration. She currently serves as Director – Analysis and Coordination in the President’s Department and has previously held senior ICT and leadership roles in government and international diplomacy. Her academic qualifications include an M.Sc. in Peace, Leadership and Conflict Resolution, a B.A. (Special Honours) in Communication & Media Studies and a B.A. in English & Communication Studies
Ms Michelle T. Madyira
Board Member
Ms. Madyira is a seasoned financial and governance professional, currently serving as Finance Executive at First Mutual Life Assurance Company. Her career spans senior leadership roles at Ernst & Young and board-level governance in pension funds. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant (Zimbabwe) with over ten years post-qualification experience, contributing to audit, risk and human resources committees.
Advocate Sabastine M. Guwuriro
Board Member
Advocate Guwuriro brings extensive expertise in legal practice, corporate governance and strategic advisory. He is the Managing Partner at Messrs. Guwuriro Associates Legal Practitioners and has held senior legal and compliance leadership roles, including Group Legal and Compliance Manager at Spiritage Zimbabwe Telecommunications. He is a holder of Bachelor of Law
Honours (LLBS) with a career spanning over 22 years in telecommunications and legal sectors.
Dr Maneta L. Dzauma

Dr. Dzauma is the Founder and CEO of Fusion Insights Group (F.I.G), bringing extensive experience in strategic management, corporate governance and customer relationship management. Her academic credentials include a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) in Leadership, a Master of Commerce in Strategic Management and Corporate Governance and multiple
diplomas in sales, marketing and administration.
Dr Siyakha Njabuliso Mthunzi

Dr. Mthunzi brings expertise in cyber security, intelligence analysis and strategic risk management. He has held leadership roles across international organisations, academia and consultancy. His academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Computer Science, an MA in Intelligence & Security Studies and multiple
certifications in cyber intelligence, strategy and network security.
Dr Miriam Mugwati
Board Member
Dr. Mugwati is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Business Sciences at Midlands State University, with extensive expertise in marketing strategy, corporate governance and academic leadership. Her qualifications include a Ph.D. in Marketing, an MSc in Marketing Strategy and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Management. She has published extensively on board gender composition, marketing culture and customer experience.
Dr Garikai Prince Mushininga

Dr. Mushininga is a Medical Doctor and Founder/Chairman of Kalahari Healthcare Zimbabwe, with expertise spanning health services, renewable energy, ICT, infrastructure and business management in multiple African markets. He holds an MBChB in Medicine, a Certificate in Property Development and Investment and has over eight years of senior leadership experience in healthcare, infrastructure and renewable energy projects.

Ms. Nyoni brings extensive expertise in Interior Architecture, Human Development, Communications and sustainable design. She currently serves as a professional consultant in sustainable development and design. Her academic
achievements include an MSc in Leadership and Governance, a BSc (Hons) in Development and a Diploma in Interior Design
Mr Prince Sibanda
Board Member
Mr. Sibanda is a seasoned ICT and digital transformation leader, currently Chief Director at the Ministry of ICT, Postal and Courier Services, Government of Zimbabwe. He has led multimillion-dollar IT projects, developed Zimbabwe’s first High-Peformance Computing facility and implemented national digital solutions such as e-tolling, e-parcel and e-immigration systems. He holds an M.Sc. in Information Systems and an B.Sc. (Honours) in Information Systems.
