Creating a level playing field

An authorised Equipment Supplier/Dealer is any Zimbabwean Registered Company that has been licensed by the Authority to do any one or all of the following for telecommunication equipment in Zimbabwe.

  1. Supplying
  2. Importing
  3. Installing
  4. Retailing
  5. Manufacturing
  6. Repairing
  7. Assembling
Conditions & Requirements

These conditions define the minimum standards required for approval as approved telecommunication equipment or radio transceiver supplier and the duties of a supplier to his client and to the POTRAZ. The conditions are issued in accordance with the provisions of the Postal and Telecommunications Act. [Chapter 12:05].

Approval as a Supplier shall be subject to the satisfaction of the following.

Registration and Personnel Qualifications

  1. The applicant for approved supplier status shall be a Zimbabwe registered company with the Registrar of Companies. Proof of registration will be required.
  2. The company shall have in its employ at least two technicians with minimum of two years working experience with telecommunications equipment.
  3. At least one technician must have attained Full Technological Certificate (FTC) and another a minimum of T.3 technician’s diploma or any other higher qualifications.

    1. a postal
    2. physical address
    3. contact phone
    4. cell number.

Documents Required

  1. Certified Copy of Certificate of Registration and CR14
  2. Certified Copy of National ID for one of Directors
  3. Proof of Residence for the same Director.
  4. CVs for 2 Technical staff.
